CS 476 - Distributed Systems: Concepts and Design

Introduction to the theory and design principles used in the construction of distributed computer systems. Study of architectural foundations of networked systems, file servers and transportation handling, and security issues. Case studies of specific distributed systems. Prerequisite: CS 405 - Operating Systems. Grade or P/NC. Offered when demand warrants.
