GS 300 - Contemporary China

(3-4 credits) Meets GOAL 5 and GOAL 8.

This course provides an overview of the changes occurring in China. Building upon a description of its culture, history and people; the course will enable students to understand contemporary China by emphasizing the changes affecting its economy, educational system, environment, evolving value system, and international relations. Grade or P/NC. Offered annually (usually spring semester).
