HERS 395 - Practicum in Public Health

(1-3 credits)

This course gives students practical experience of the implementation of health education in various community organization settings. Students will spend time in community organizations observing and implementing a variety of health education programs/projects. Prerequisites: ◎ HERS 328 - Behavioral Interventions and △ HERS 350 - Program Planning in Health Promotion or instructor permission. Requires current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications, background check, proof of health insurance, proof of current immunizations, and yearly tuberculosis test. Liability insurance premium assessed yearly. P/NC only. Offered each semester. Repeatable up to 3 times.
