PHYS 140 - Energy

(3 credits) Meets GOAL 3 and GOAL 10.

This course focuses on energy needs, trends, and long-term prospects and resource supplies. The physics of energy, atoms, nuclei, thermal energy, solar energy, alternative energies, and consequences of energy production are discussed. The present governmental energy policy will be discussed along with proposed changes to the policies. Grade or P/NC. Offered each semester.
