PHYS 431 - Electromagnetic Theory II

(3 credits)

A continuation of ◆ PHYS 430 - Electromagnetic Theory I . Topics include electrostatics including Laplace’s equation and electric fields in matter; magnetostatics including magnetic vector potential and magnetic fields in matter; and applications of Maxwell’s equations. Prerequisite: ◆ PHYS 430 - Electromagnetic Theory I . Grade or P/NC. Offered alternate years.
