✽ THAD 155 - Contemporary Dance Techniques I (1 credit) Meets GOAL 6 (Fine Arts) and Physical Development and Wellness Requirement.
This fundamental level contemporary technique course focuses on in-studio physical experiences that develop embodied knowledge. The dancing in this course relies upon applied theory and anatomical principles to introduce concepts regarding function and expression for the aspiring contemporary dancer. Contemporary dance history and choreographic practices support the course’s physical work. Grade only or P/NC. Offered each semester. Repeatable once.
