WGSS 373 - Anti-Racist Feminist Theories and Politics (3 credits) Meets GOAL 6 (Humanities) and GOAL 7.
This course seeks to examine theoretical approaches and practices to address social and global oppressions. This course will explore abolitionist, anti-imperialist, and anti-racist intersectional feminist theories. This course will use intersectional and anti-essentialist frameworks to critique dominant understandings of political, social, cultural and economic realities. Prerequisite: WGSS 148 - Introduction to Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies or instructor permission. Grade or P/NC. Offered at least once annually.
