PESS 310 - Adventure Education Teacher Education Practicum

(1-3 credits)

This course is designed to provide future teachers with a practical experience assisting, planning, and leading students in an adventure education setting. Students will work alongside a teacher at Winona State or within the K-12 School setting in an area approved by the chair of the Physical Education and Sport Science Department to complete the requirement for a practical experience in the minor of Adventure Education Teacher Education. Prerequisites: PESS 114 - Fundamentals of Adventure Education, PESS 162 - Fundamentals of Specialized Skills, PESS 225 - Introduction to Learning and Meaningfulness in Physical Education, and instructor permission. Grade only. Offered each semester. Repeatable up to 3 credits.
