BIOL 119 - Biology for a Changing World

(3 credits) Meets GOAL 3.

A course that provides an introductory biology experience for non-science majors. A primary focus is deeper understanding of how and why biology is relevant to everyday life. Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester). Note: Students may elect to take the course with lab - BIOL 118 - Essentials of Biology with Lab (4 credits) lecture completely online with required weekly face-to-face laboratory sessions - or this course (lecture only completely online with no required synchronous meetings) but cannot earn credit for both courses.
