FIN 450 - Finance and Artificial Intelligence

This course considers the intersection of finance and artificial intelligence, providing a foundational understanding of AI concepts and their practical applications in finance. Students will explore machine learning algorithms, data processing techniques, and AI models relevant to financial analysis and decision-making. The curriculum covers topics like financial statement analysis using AI, AI-driven investment strategies, risk management, and the development of AI tools such as chatbots and robo-advisors. Ethical considerations and regulatory frameworks are also integral parts of the course, ensuring students are aware of the responsibilities that come with deploying AI in finance. Prerequisite: FIN 360 - Corporate Finance. Grade only. Offered alternate years (usually fall semester).
