CE 590 - Addiction Counseling: Internship

This course provides a practical field-based experience (880 clock hours) as required by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (BBHT), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) requirements in an addiction counseling setting. This experience may be arranged with supervisor coordination through the CE Intership Coordinator and an on-site supervisor. Prerequisites: Completion of all Addictions Counseling Certificate required courses (CE 550 - Addiction Counseling: Introduction to the Field, CE 555 - Addiction Counseling: Psychopharmacology, CE 560 - Addiction Counseling: Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, CE 565 - Addiction Counseling: Theory and Practice, CE 570 - Addiction Counseling: Ethics and Advocacy, and CE 575 - Addiction Counseling: Multicultural Concerns). Grade only.
