ACCT 462 - Advanced Managerial/Cost Accounting Topics

This course is primarily for students planning to take the CMA exam. It extends the coverage of cost/managerial topics covered in ACCT 361 - Intermediate Managerial/Cost Accounting and prepares students for Part 1 of the two-part CMA exam. Topics include (but are not limited to) planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance management, cost management, internal controls, and professional ethics. Prerequisites for College of Business majors and minors: Admission to the College of Business and ACCT 330 - Accounting Information Systems, ACCT 361 - Intermediate Managerial/Cost Accounting and FIN 360 - Corporate Finance. Prerequisites for non-College of Business majors and minors: Junior standing and instructor’s permission. Grade only.
