BIOL 241 - Basics of Life and BIOL 242 - Organismal Diversity should be taken prior to BIOL 312 - General Ecology , BIOL 313 - General Ecology Laboratory , △ BIOL 308 - Cell Biology and ◆ BIOL 310 - Genetics . BIOL 312 - General Ecology should be taken prior to or concurrently with BIOL 313 - General Ecology Laboratory .
At least one course must be completed from each of the following three groups:
Courses may be chosen from the biology electives listed in the Biology Electives section of this catalog. The required and elective ecology option courses must total 24 S.H.
CHEM 350 - Principles of Organic Chemistry I and CHEM 351 - Principles of Organic Chemistry II may be substituted for CHEM 340 - Organic Chemistry Survey . Both CHEM 350 - Principles of Organic Chemistry I and CHEM 351 - Principles of Organic Chemistry II must be taken.
Students are encouraged to take STAT 305 - Biometry . If both are taken, MATH 212 and MATH 213 (Calculus I, II) may be substituted for MATH 150 and MATH 155 .
PHYS 221 - University Physics I and PHYS 222 - University Physics II (both must be taken) may be substituted for PHYS 201 - General Physics I and PHYS 202 - General Physics II .
