Gerontology is the scientific study of older adults as a special population. The gerontology minor offers students a unique opportunity for the interdisciplinary study of older adults and the aging population. The field of gerontology is an expanding, stimulating, and challenging field, with career opportunities in nearly every professional arena - from sociology to social work, from nursing to business, from psychology to recreation.
