21 S.H.

2.0 GPA required.

C grade or better required in minor courses.

Students are expected to adhere to program ethical standards.

Overview

The Child Advocacy Studies curriculum focuses on experiential, interdisciplinary, ethical, and culturally sensitive child-focused content that provides a common knowledge base for advocacy and response to social issues.

If you have been arrested, charged, or convicted of any criminal offense, you should investigate the impact that the arrest, charge, or conviction may have on your chances for employment in the field you intend to study or on your chances to obtain field experiences or internship opportunities.

Note

Field experience in Criminal Justice, Psychology, or Social Work may fulfill the requirements for CAST 477 if the field experience involves substantial work with children. The CAST program director will review the field experience placement and make a determination regarding fulfillment of the field experience requirement on an individual basis.

Course(s) Unique to Minor

WSU policy requires a minor contain at least one course unique to the minor and not used in major or additional requirements. See DARS for details.
