Nutrition (NUTR) - Minor


27-28 credits

2.5 GPA required.

The Nutrition minor is for individuals interested in gaining a nutrition knowledge base that will enhance future work in a community, school (classroom teaching), work site or research setting. The focus of this minor is to prepare students to promote sound, evidence-based nutrition principles to physically and culturally diverse clients, making referrals to Registered Dietitians when necessary. This minor exposes students to principles of nutritional research and current topics within the field of study.  Note: If considering pursuing further professional training in dietetics additional courses in Chemistry may be required. See nutrition advisor for more information and course planning.
