Phase I. Interdisciplinary Foundations (21 credits)
These courses address topics related to the U.S. legal system in a variety of academic disciplines, ranging from history and political science to business and accounting.
Political Science (9 credits)
Phase II. Legal Specialty Sequence (31 credits)
These courses concentrate on specific aspects of the legal profession. Legal specialty courses are offered in sequence (typically spring semester sophomore year).
Legal Studies (13 credits)
Internship & Electives (18 credits)
Electives (6 or 12 credits)
If completing 12 credits of Internship, select 6 elective credits. If completing 6 credits of Internship, select 12 elective credits.
Phase III. Concentration/Minor Sequence (12 credits or a minor)
In Phase III, students choose to complete the requirements of the Legal Studies Program, including an additional 12 credits in a variety of law-related courses from various disciplines. Students can choose between five concentrations. Alternatively, they may elect to complete a minor of their choice in addition to completing the first two phases of the program.
