Healthcare Leadership & Administration: Health & Wellness Management (HWM) - BAS Major

2.5 program GPA required for graduation.

C grade or better required in major courses.

Overview

This program is designed for transfer students who: (1) have a minimum of 24-credits and a desire to work in the wellness field; or (2) have completed a program at one of our transfer partner institutions.

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Health and Wellness Management (HWM) is a cooperative multidisciplinary online completion degree with eight domains of learning: Analytical/Assessment skills, Policy Development/Program Planning, Communication skills, Cultural Competency, Community Dimensions of Practice, Public Health Science, Financial Planning and Management, Leadership and Systems Thinking skills. The Health & Wellness Management emphasis is for students wishing to gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary for an entry-level management position in health or wellness. Additional certifications, experience, or an advanced degree might be necessary for attainment of career goals.

The purpose of this degree is to meet the growing demand for competent and innovative managers and leaders in health, wellness, and healthcare. The program is delivered in a way that effectively serves adult learners and working professionals. This bachelor completion degree program contains all the requirements for completion of a BAS degree at WSU which includes transfer credits, general education requirements, and major requirements.
