Overview
The Training and Development certificate provides an added credential for individuals seeking positions in both informal training roles as well as in formal employee training and development programs. Since this certificate offering aims to fit with and accommodate varying schedules of adult learners, faculty have arranged for the course requirements to be offered entirely online. The curriculum includes coursework in the following areas: training theory, design, and application as well as adult and leadership education. These competency areas align with the standards established by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD)/Association for Talent Development (ATD). Anyone interested in adding this certificate to their credentials should contact the Business Education office for an advisor.
