18 credits
2.0 GPA required.
C grade or better required in minor courses.
At least 4 geography courses must be completed at WSU.
The Geography minor enables a student to view the world and issues from a geographic perspective. This perspective is important in understanding cultural diversity, globalization, infrastructure, resource management, energy, environmental hazards, physical landscapes and their connections with the natural environment, and national and international security. The geo-spatial skills and geographic perspective geography minors obtain are necessary to succeed in the fields of education, science, technology, health, public safety, business, government, and a variety of industries because the world is becoming more interconnected, and changing at a faster rate than has ever been seen in human history.
