Program Information

This program is designed for entry into a graduate program in forensic science. All applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in a chemistry-related field. A degree in chemistry fits best with the required courses and can be met with the Chemistry - General (CHEG) - BS Major . Selection of PHYS 221 - University Physics I & PHYS 222 - University Physics II courses results in an ACS-approved bachelor’s degree in Pre-Forensics. Students should meet early with an advisor to plan their programs of study.

Students should choose General Education courses carefully to meet the General Education Program (GEP) requirements within the four-year plan. Students should consult with their advisor for recommendations on these courses.
*This major will be ACS certified if students take the University Physics sequence (PHYS 221 & 222).
Being a teaching assistant for CHEM 190 is highly recommended.
