Program Information

This opportunity is designed for transfer students who either: (1) are already enrolled in the Pre-MS Healthcare Leadership (Undergraduate to Graduate Program) (PMHL) ; or (2) have a previously earned diploma or degree in an Allied Healthcare related field; or (3) have a minimum of 45-credits and are professionals working in healthcare.

This accelerated program provides a 3+2 opportunity for students to complete two degrees in less time than traditional programs by combining the Pre-MS Healthcare Leadership (Undergraduate to Graduate Program) (PMHL)  with a MS degree in Health/Healthcare Leadership (HHL). Students will complete three courses (9-credits) of graduate coursework while in the undergraduate program that will apply towards both degrees.

This 3+2 program contains all the requirements for completion of a BAS degree at WSU which includes transfer credits, general education requirements, and major requirements. Students interested in completing this program should declare both HLL and Pre-HHL (PHHL) upon entering WSU. The PHHL declaration is important so an advisor can be assigned to successfully guide academic progress.

The HLL BAS major requires a 2.5 GPA and a minimum C grade in all major coursework. Applications into the HHL program will occur during the student’s final undergraduate semester and they will join the next fall cohort to complete the graduate program. For more program information, visit the HHL program page or HLA website. For graduate information, visit the WSU graduate catalog.

Students who do not meet the entrance requirements should contact the program at hla@winona.edu to learn more about pre-program options.
