A concentration is not required. Students can take any combination of courses that satisfies the requirements of the major. Students who wish to have an English major with a particular concentration must complete the following 12-credit pathways from Advanced Perspectives and Practices. Multiple concentrations are possible. English Major with a Concentration in Literature and Language
English Major with a Concentration in Creative Writing
English Major with a Concentration in Applied Linguistics
English Majors with English Minors
Students majoring in English with a concentration can complete an English minor in an English area other than their concentration (i.e. major with a concentration in Applied and Professional Writing, minor in Literature and Language). 9 credits must be distinct to the minor and not count toward the major. |
