The Mass Communication major consists of 45 semester hours divided between an academic core, a professional skills core, and five options. This major prepares students to create, produce, deliver, and understand the effects of mediated messages. A student must complete the academic core, the professional skills core, and one of the options. A minor from a department other than Mass Communication is required.
In addition to the Academic Core and Professional Core listed above, a Mass Communication-Advertising Major must complete the following five required courses and two elective courses from the list below.
