Post-Nursing Master’s Certificate Programs

The Master’s of Science Program in Nursing offers six post-nursing Master’s certificate programs for nurses interested in post-nursing Master’s education. The post-Master’s certificate programs are in the areas of adult/gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, adult/gerontology nurse practitioner, adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist, adult-gerontology nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner, nursing and organizational leadership and nurse educator.

Post-Nursing Master’s Certificate - Nurse Practitioner - 14 S.H. (ANP) 20 S.H. (FNP)

This option is designed to integrate the Post Nursing Master’s students into the existing sequence of courses leading to preparation as an Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (A/G NP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). This option provides nurses that already have Master’s degree preparation in another area of nursing the opportunity to acquire the education, skills, and abilities to seek certification and practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) Nurse Practitioner.
