Planning the curriculum and developing effective teaching strategies and assessment methods for young children from 2 and 1/2 years old through 5 years old. Students gain experience in a supervised preschool program. Prerequisites: or and EDUC 410 - Foundations of Early Childhood Education or EDFD 400 - Human Development and Learning or EDFD 401 - Human Development and Learning: K-12 & 5-12 and EDFD 460 - Multicultural Youth, Children, & Families Part I or EDFD 461 - Multicultural Youth, Children, & Families: Part I: K-12 and 5-12. Grade only. Offered each semester.
