HLA 451 - Managing Projects in Healthcare (3 S.H.)
This course introduces and examines project management through both theoretical and practice approaches. Professionally recognized project management tools, techniques, processes and methods will be explored for effectively and efficiently managing projects throughout the project lifecycle. This course will explore the importance of leadership and teamwork in accomplishing the processes of project management, including project identification, initiation, planning, executing, controlling and closing a project. Prerequisites: Admission to HLA major; ◆ HLA 301 - Statistical Thinking for Healthcare , △ HLA 414 - Health Care Policy/Quality Healthcare Delivery , △ HADM 317 - Management of Human Resources in Healthcare , and HADM 435 - Managing for Quality in Healthcare . Grade only. Offered annually.
