EL 659 - Innovative Instructional Leadership

The world is rapidly changing. To adequately prepare students for an unknown future will require 21st century instructional leaders to think creatively to challenge and act upon traditional classroom and school paradigms that no longer fit our students’ needs. This course will provide students with a background in the diffusion of innovation, the foundations of change leadership, and an applied experience in design thinking principles to collaboratively create and share a solution to a real world problem facing classrooms/schools today. Recommended prerequisite: EL 658 - Real World Learning Design. Grade only. Offered annually.
