(3 credits) (2 credits theory/1 credit practicum)

Examines the complexity of elder care, including factors contributing to longevity and health in old age as well as genetic predisposition, lifestyle, culture, and environment. Prerequisites: NURS 341 - Therapeutic Applications of Nursing Skills and Health Assessment , NURS 344 - Leadership in Basic Nursing Practice , NURS 360 - Pharmacology , & NURS 366 - Pathophysiology .
