NURS 443 - Professional Practice III


(3 credits practicum)

This clinical course focuses on providing nursing care to individuals and families across the lifespan. This course emphasizes evidence-based practices, supportive and therapeutic care for childbearing and child-rearing families, and for individuals and families coping with acute and chronic illness, health promotion and disease prevention, and developmentally appropriate communication through site based and/or simulation learning. Prerequisites: △ NURS 352 - Caring for the Older Adult , NURS 353 - Professional Practice II , ◆ NURS 354 - Leadership in Research and Evidence-Based Practice , & NURS 358 - Psychosocial Adaptation . Pre/corequisites: NURS 421 - Nursing of Childbearing Families  and NURS 422 - Nursing of Childrearing Families . Grade only. Offered each semester.
