△ EDUC 334 - Teaching Mathematics in the Elementary School


(3 credits) Meets GEP Writing Intensive.

Teaching competencies such as guiding student inquiry, demonstrating mathematical principles and procedures, and using a variety of instructional aids are developed in relation to scope and sequence of elementary curriculums. Lecture with field experience. Prerequisites: Admission to ELEC or ELEM program, ◆ EDFD 440 - Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment: B-6th Grade , and ◆ EDFD 441 - Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment: K-12 and 5-12 . Grade only. Offered each semester. Course may be retaken once due to student withdrawal or earning less than a C grade.
