◆ EDFD 440 - Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment: B-6th Grade


(3 credits) Meets GEP Math/Critical Analysis Intensive.

This course provides students with the knowledge, skill, and understanding of building curriculum, choosing appropriate instructional strategies, and assessing both pupil knowledge as well as curriculum and instruction. In particular, the focus of the course is creating curriculum, instruction, and assessment for early childhood and elementary educational settings. This course has field experience hours within local school districts. Prerequisites: Admission to Teacher Education, EDFD 400 - Metacognitive Learner: B-6th Grade , and EDFD 460 - Multicultural Youth, Children, and Families Part I: B-6th Grade . Corequisite:  . Grade only. Offered each semester. This course may be retaken once due to student withdrawal or earning less than C grade.
