NURS 630 - Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist Role Synthesis Seminar


(3 credits)

This course continues from N624 an in depth study of acute and chronic health conditions common in the adult/gerontology population. A theoretical and research base and evaluation of current evidence will be used to examine assessment and intervention strategies, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, to address acute and chronic health conditions and human responses to illness. This course will provide students an opportunity to synthesize previous coursework in preparation for independent advanced practice. Prerequisites: NURS 624 - Adult-Gerontology CNS Role Development Seminar  and NURS 625 - Adult-Gerontology CNS Role Development Clinical . Corequisite: NURS 631 - Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist Role Synthesis Clinical . Grade only. Offered annually (usually spring semester).
