ACCT 522 - Advanced Taxation


(4 credits)

This course includes the study of appropriate tax law resources to respond to and research complex tax issues. Students will study and apply federal income tax treatment to corporate and pass-through business entities, as well as estates and trusts. Common tax issues relating to multistate and international transactions are covered. In addition, the course addresses various tax planning techniques. Prerequisite: Admission to the Master of Professional Accounting Program. Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester).
