CE 616 - Group Counseling Experience


(1 credit)

In this course, students will participate in a 10-hour group counseling experience as a member of the group. Through modeling of the group leader, students will learn group leadership characteristics and responsibilities, stages of the group counseling process, therapeutic factors, and theoretical applications. They will also gain the perspective of the group counseling member. Prerequisites: CE 601 - Foundations of Counseling  and CE 658 - Microskills . Corequisite: CE 615 - Group Theory and Practice . P/NC only. Offered annually (usually spring semester).
