CAS 640 - Addressing and Managing Child and Adolescent Behavioral and Mental Health Concerns


(3 credits)

This course will briefly review common mental health and behavioral concerns often displayed in children and adolescents (as covered in CAS 620). Professionals working with child and adolescents will explore and develop a skill set of utilizing interventions to address behavioral and mental health concerns. All interventions, tools and techniques will be appropriate for the professional’s scope of practice. Prerequisites: CAS 600 - Introduction to Child and Adolescent Studies  and CAS 620 - Understanding Child & Adolescent Behavioral and Mental Health Concerns . Grade only. Offered annually (usually spring semester).
