CHEM 542 - Fundamentals of Molecular Modeling


(2 credits)

A practical hands-on introduction to a variety of computational modeling methods that are used to calculate, predict, and/or visualize useful properties of molecular systems such as molecular structures, atomic and molecular orbitals, IR and UV/Vis spectra, and thermodynamic quantities associated with chemical reactions. Prerequisite: One semester of organic chemistry with lab or instructor permission. Grade or P/NC. Offered at department discretion.
