NURS 707 - Simulation for Nursing Education


(3 credits-including 1 clinical credit)

This three-credit simulation course, totaling three credits with one credit designated as clinical, explores the application of simulation science and practice, tailored specifically for graduate nurse educators. The didactic content aligns with Jeffries’ Simulation Model and Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice. The clinical component is designed to prepare nurse educators with the necessary skills to competently develop, implement, and evaluate clinical simulations in nursing practice. Prerequisite(s): NURS 669 - Nursing Education: Theory and Research  , NURS 670 - Nursing Education Curriculum & Program Design  , and NURS 671 - Nursing Education: Instruction and Evaluation   or NURS 739 - Learning about Teaching: Application of Nursing Education  or equivalent or consent of instructor. Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester). Note: Limited to 20 students.
