SPED 411 - DD Field Experience I

(3 credits)

This field experience allows teacher candidates to apply and practice the knowledge and skills needed for Minnesota licensure in Developmental Disabilities. They will be placed in a secondary Special Education classroom or an inclusive setting for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, throughout the semester. Assignments for this field experience will correspond with those for SPED 471 and SPED 473. Prerequisites: admission to Teacher Education, SPED 300 - Children and Youth with Exceptionalities, SPED 405 - Student Management Systems, SPED 410 - Introduction to Assessment/Methods and ◎ SPED 420 - Special Education Administrative Procedures. P/NC only. Offered annually (usually fall semester).
