✽ THAD 255 - Contemporary Dance Techniques II


(2 credits) Meets GOAL 6 (Fine Arts) and Physical Development and Wellness Requirement.

This beginning-to-intermediate level contemporary technique course focuses on in-studio physical experiences that generate embodied knowledge. The dancing in this course relies upon applied theory and anatomical principles in developing function and expression. Contemporary dance history and choreographic practices support the course’s physical work. Prerequisite: ✽ THAD 155 - Contemporary Dance Techniques I , a score of 20 on the Contemporary Placement Audition Test, or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered each semester. Repeatable once.
