THAD 455 - Contemporary Dance Techniques IV

This advanced level contemporary technique course focuses on in-studio physical experiences that broaden and deepen dancers’ range and application of embodied knowledge. The dancing in this course relies upon applied theory and anatomical principles in detailing function and expression within complex applications. Contemporary dance history and choreographic practices support the physical work. Prerequisite: THAD 355 - Contemporary Dance Techniques III, a score of 40 on the Contemporary Placement Audition, or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered annually. Repeatable once.
