THAD 457 - Ballet IV

This advanced level technique course encourages students to apply their range and depth of physical understanding regarding one’s own movement skills to an expansive and demanding approach to ballet. A studio course, daily physical practices seek to refine efficient function and expand expressive abilities. A focus on experiential knowledge is supported by a survey of historical and cultural content as well as viewing and analyzing dance performances. Prerequisite: THAD 357 - Ballet III, a score of 40 on the Ballet Placement Audition Test, or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered occasionally. Repeatable once.
