SPED 472 - Elementary Instruction, Methods, and Assessment

This course provides the teacher candidate with knowledge and skills related to elementary grade-level special education, including academic language, planning, teaching, and monitoring K-6 exceptional learners’ academic, learning, and social/emotional development needs in diverse learning environments. Prerequisites: Admission to Teacher Education, SPED 300 - Children and Youth with Exceptionalities & ◎ SPED 420 - Special Education Administrative Procedures or instructor approval. Corequisites: SPED 474 - ABS Field Experience I. Grade only. Offered annually or when demand warrants.
