SPED 474 - ABS Field Experience I

This field experience provides the opportunity for teacher candidates to apply and practice knowledge and skills required for Minnesota licensure as an Academic and Behavioral Strategist. Teacher candidates will be placed in a elementary Special Education setting over the course of the semester. Assignments required for the field experience will align with assignments required for SPED 472 and preparation for the edTPA required in SPED 477 - Student Teaching for ABS. Prerequisites: SPED 300 - Children and Youth with Exceptionalities, SPED 410 - Introduction to Assessment/Methods, ◎ SPED 420 - Special Education Administrative Procedures, and admission to Teacher Education. Pre/corequisite: SPED 425 - Inclusion in Regular Classrooms. Corequisites: SPED 472 - Elementary Instruction, Methods, and Assessment P/NC only. Offered annually or when demand warrants.
