PESS 449 - Sport Leadership Internship

(12 credits)

This course is a capstone student leadership experience. One full semester (480 hrs) of experiential leadership facilitation in a full-time, appropriate sport leadership setting. This is a supervised internship or field placement in the area of Sport Leadership, providing opportunities for experiential learning at an advanced level. Students identify, with the assistance of PESS faculty, full-time professional assignments with an agency or organization which provides services related to the students’ preparation in Sport Leadership and/or Physical Education. Prerequisites: △ PESS 327 - Advocacy and Fundraising in Sport Leadership, ◆ PESS 404 - Risk Management, Planning, and Development in Physical Education and Sport, and instructor permission. P/NC only. Offered each semester.
