△ NURS 440 - Professional Nursing IV

(3 credits) Meets GEP Writing Intensive.

Students will be provided the application of holistic nursing concepts. Through a rigorous exploration students will focus is on evaluating the following: clinical judgement, communication, compassionate care, DEI, ethics evidenced-based practice, health policy and social determinants of health. Preferred corequisites: NURS 441 - Nursing Success IV, NURS 450 - Medical/Surgical Nursing IV, and ◎ NURS 470 - Capstone: Immersion in Nursing Practice. Prerequisites: Admission to the Nursing program and △ NURS 400 - Professional Nursing and Nursing Success III. Grade only. Offered each semester on Winona and Rochester campuses. Note: Differential tuition rates apply. This course is allowed to be repeated 1 time.
