EEOL 320 - Ethnographers of Language in Primary Classrooms


(4 credits)

The Ethnographers of language semester block explores language as a social and cultural construct - developing an understanding of different ways with words and how such awareness informs patterns of communication within and beyond classroom communities. Ethnographers of Language in Primary Classroom is the first of two courses. This course partners with EEOL 325 - Ethnographers Field Experience which houses the primary elementary field experience related to this course. Prerequisite: EEOL 301 - Development Theories . Corequisites: EEOL 323 - Ethnographers of Language in Intermediate Classrooms  and EEOL 325 - Ethnographers Field Experience . Grade only. Offered annually (usually spring semester).
