EEOL 330 - Science and Technology in the Elementary Classrooms


(4 credits)

This course explores how elementary students investigate and make meaning of the natural world through scientific inquiry and technology integration. This course emphasizes real-world, developmentally appropriate, and standards-aligned learning experiences that cultivate curiosity, evidence-based reasoning, and design thinking. Teacher candidates will explore Minnesota Science and Technology standards and develop instructional strategies that promote conceptual understanding, STEM integration, and inclusive classroom practices. Prerequisite: EEOL 320 - Ethnographers of Language in Primary Classrooms . Corequisites: EEOL 333 - Engineering and Mathematics in the Elementary Classrooms  and EEOL 335 - STEM Field Experience: Collaborations, Instruction & Student Learning . Grade only. Offered annually (usually summer session).
