ART 215 - Creative Design Methods (3 credits) Meets GOAL 6 (Fine Arts)
Studio-based exploration of creative methods in design, with emphasis on collaborative processes and low-fidelity making. Building on introductory design thinking, students practice brainstorming, mapping, co-design and participatory approaches, speculative design, and rapid prototyping as tools for framing and addressing complex problems. Coursework emphasizes experimentation, collaboration, documentation, and reflection in an online asynchronous format. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing (15 credits). Prerequisite course recommended: ART 111 - Introduction to Design Thinking . Grade only. Offered when demand warrants.
