SOC 460 - Internship


(1-12 S.H.)

An intensive, professionally supervised placement within an organization relevant to sociological practice. Emphasis is on the student assuming professional responsibilities and applying relevant knowledge and skills within the organization where they are placed. Prerequisites: SOC 150 - Introduction to Sociology , STAT 110 - Fundamentals of Statistics  or ◆ PSY 231 - Statistics , ◆ SOC 376 - Introduction to Social Research , △ SOC 377 - Social Theory , and admission to the BA Sociology program. Co-Requisite: SOC 463 - Sociology Internship Seminar . P/NC only. Offered each semester.
